AnimeJapan, the largest Japanese animation convention

Abroad, fans of manga, anime and other cosplay have a real cult following for Japanese animation, as evidenced by conventions such as Japan Expo. This is even more true in Japan, where animation is a sector that even the government endorses. A closer look at the biggest Japanese animation convention, which takes place in March: AnimeJapan!

Or ?

Every year, on the artificial island of Odaiba, and more specifically at the Tokyo Big Sight convention center, the unmissable event for Japanese animation lovers takes place. Born in 2014 from the merger of the Tokyo International Anime Fair and the Anime Contents Expo, AnimeJapan is one of the largest animation conventions in the world.

What ?

This convention brings together the most prestigious animation studios: Toei Animation, Tezuka Productions, Aniplex, and more. You'll also find television networks, Japanese and international production companies, toy manufacturers, and video game and software developers. The largest booths feature cinemas and stages, offering live performances as well as appearances by anime and manga creators and voice actors. How ?

Finally, where there's animation, there's cosplay! AnimeJapan is the perfect opportunity to step into the shoes of your favorite characters. There's even a dedicated cosplay area that encourages visitors to show off their costumes. The atmosphere is always friendly, and cosplayers happily pose for photos (many of them come specifically for that!).
