The most wonderful time of the year is fast approaching. Every year in Tokyo, the city puts on a dazzling display of lights, much to everyone's delight. Here are 5 spots to enjoy this year's illuminations. 

Omotesando illuminationfrom 01/12 to 26/12/2021
We'll start with Omotesando. Right outside your favorite Japanese school, you'll find the district lit up with a thousand lights. 

 

Kioi Winter Illuminationfrom 20/11 to 25/12/2021
In the Chiyoda district is the Kioi Winter Illumination with not only magnificent illuminations, but also a Christmas tree over 10 meters tall. 

 

Omotesando illumination– from 11/11/2021 to 20/02/2022
Among Tokyo's must-see illuminations, Marunouchi Illumination should definitely be on your list. In addition to the traditional displays, a new theme is added each year. This year, it's Harry Potter. Magic guaranteed! 

 

Tokyo Dome City Illuminationfrom 05/11/2021 to 28/02/2022
If you want to enjoy a magical setting and do some shopping, then Tokyo Dome City is for you. With its 2 million LEDs, the spectacle is always guaranteed. 

 

Tokyo Mega Illumination – from 01/11/2021 to 10/01/2022
In the Shinagawa district, you'll find one of Tokyo's largest light displays. No fewer than 15 different installations are arranged to enchant you. Remember to bring 800 yen (approximately 6 euros) as there is an entrance fee.
