5 Japanese programs available for streaming

Summer is in full swing, and it's safe to say the heat is intense! Not brave enough to face the temperatures? Prefer to stay cool at home? Here's a selection of Japanese (or Japanese-themed) programs to enjoy from the comfort of your living room. Choose your favorite platform!

Drama program: Midnight Diner: Tokyo stories (Netflix)

The owner of a Shinjuku izakaya opens his restaurant from midnight until 7:00 AM. Known as "Master," he offers a limited menu: pork miso soup, beer, sake, and shochu. However, he's willing to cook anything his customers request. The only condition? That Master has the ingredients on hand. Each episode focuses on a customer, their relationship with a dish, and a personal conflict they need to resolve. The clientele of this small restaurant is representative of Shinjuku's densely populated neighborhood. Former actors, businessmen, dancers, film directors, and drag queens all find themselves in this oasis, a stark contrast to the frenetic atmosphere of the surrounding streets. Funny, touching, and unconventional, this series, inspired by the popular manga "Shinya Shokudo," is a true delight!

Documentary programs:
